Hey guys.

Just recently I bought an ASRock x99m killer Motherboard.
It has a CPU1 (4pin), CPU2 (3pin), CHA1 (4pin) and CHA2 (3pin) Fan connectors.

My problem lies within the fact that CHA1 connector only controls 4pin Fans (meanwhile only my cpu runs at 4pin) and lets every other 3pin run at full speed all the time (i have tried 3 different fans).

Also I should probably add that i tried controlling it both from bios (asrock fan tastic tuning) and the os itself (f-stream and other software).

What do you think could be the problem here?

Any advice is appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

Solution
That is typical with some boards' 4-pin headers. They only have PWM* control of RPM. Not voltage control.

* Pulse Width Modulation
