6700k using stock cooler brings insane temps!

I took the cooler from the Skylake Pentium G4400 and used it to cool my new 6700k. No overclocking of course, with just 1.2 adaptive voltage (1.150 on full load) and with turbo boost not working (max freq: 4.0 GHz), this chip while rendering reaches its full temperatures on 99 degrees celcius.
My idles are pretty good since I switched to adaptive (29-35c), but, oh God, when I try to render something in Cinema4d, or run an OCCT bench, it goes above 95. Am I just a plain idiot for using a stock cooler, with a CPU which was not intended to even have one?
I am thinking of buying a Noctua D14/15, but I am a bit scared that my chip is bad, or that there is another issue. I must also tell you that I reapplied my thermal paste once, putting a little blob in the centre of the the CPU.

I also got some ranfom BSOD's and freezes (nothing with temps, just those freezes). What do you guys think?

Ok thanks for the fast responses... There is another problem though: I have a Carbide 100R case. Corsair states max cpu cooler size 150mm, but I read some posts here that say that 155mm even 160 can be squeezed in there. So, what would be my best choice for air-cooling this thing? (max fan size 155)
