Which graphics card should I choose between the 1060 3GB and the RX 470? I've read a lot of reviews and seen some YouTube videos of the benchmarks in ultra quality on games and it shows that the 1060 is better. Though there is people that are saying that the 470 and AMD cards are "future proof".If I buy the 1060 I want it to last me a while before I even consider upgrading, not that I have to be in order to be getting good fps at high/ultra quality. Whichever GPU I choose will pair with my i5-4460 and for the most part, I'm looking to play games like: Arma 3,DayZ,H1Z1,CSGO and most importantly Battlefield 1.AMD cards are better suited for battlefield but I want to be getting good fps not only on battlefield games. Suggesting in CAD would be appreciated.

When the RX 4XX cards launched there were supply shortages and vendors too advantage of this by price gouging. Now that there is sufficient supply the prices should have normalized, but still haven't fully. Plus if depends on what models you are looking at.

Are there any 480 4gb in you price range? If not, the 1060 3gb is superior to the 470 at the same prices.
The 470 is not the competing card with the 1060 3gb. The 470 is the next performance tier down, the 480 4gb is the competition for the 1060 3gb and is a better card.

The 480 4gb trades wins in DX11, but pulls ahead in DX12. All of AMD's cards fare better in DX12 than nVidia's, at this time.

Really? In Canada the 1060 and 470 are around the same price so I assumed they were the same level. Is it just that the 1060 price dropping is really good right now for me or what?
