Moved my build and added watercooling. I [censored] up the gpu, knocking off a solder from one of the ram (backside). Prolly voltage regulator. But cant boot from cpu graphics either with gpu plugged or unplugged

i7 6700k
Titan x pascal
Z170 maximus hero 8
750w silverstone 80+gold
Ram 2x 2133hz dont remember atm.

Everything worked with 980ti for over a year, switched to titan xp tested for a day and worked fine. Started building on wc+new case. [censored] up the gpu 100% sure. Spilled little water on mb but had hairdryer on it for half an hour, leak test overnight(no leaks) and this morning checked for rust, only had some in the mobo battery which I cleaned.

Tried booting with every optional thing off, with no usb/headset plugged in, no front panel audio/usb plugged
Only hear the short beep for all ok, sometimes hit q code 40 with integrated graphics (gpu unplugged), othertimes normal A0 even with the gpu installed and novideo output.

Have tried no ram (error beeps), ram in each of the slots, no usb, no fans and only pump running, power out for 1 hour, pulled the mobo out for a check. Dont have other than is it dvi cable? Tried all the slots too

I did delid my 6700k 10/10 couldnt have done it better. I used liquid metal on all of the contact places, including the gpu. Might add pictures later

I can boot to uefi bios from the cpu graphics(or am i mistaken and it is mobo graphics?)
When resetting cmos and getting to bios after that I get to be there 30sec and then video cuts but doesnt power down.

Edit: just got to the windows (the windows didnt boot properly error and tried the repair option, didnt do anything. Shut down and didnt boot anymore. What should I do next time?

My money is 100% on the water. There are several guidelines you should follow if you spill water, I'm not sure if a blow-dryer was the best option either, http://lifehacker.com/what-to-do-when-your-water-cooling-leaks-inside-your-pc-1475187833
You also probably didn't wait long enough for the water to evaporate, if you missed any you probably just fried whatever component still had water on it.

Go to a repair shop, tell them what happened and let them test your components, that's exactly why I won't even consider a custom loop in my rig.

Just got a thought that could it be the SSDs Ive gotten becuase I get the windows repair screen whenever I just switch the sata ports.
Is it safe to assume the gpu is broken because it doesnt post?

If it's just the SATA port you should be able to boot and run wothout the GPU, as far as the GPU being broken I would assume a little solder wouldn't be essential but I could be wrong.

This is really something I would want to have checked out. Take your stuff in.

I was thinking if the ssds were damaged, because I get the windows repair screen but I can use bios normally. I dont have gpu connected, just wish to get rest of the computer to work before I start wondering about it more. Bios does register my two samsung 850evos.
If I had old ssds or hdds Id try them but no luck.
I just wish I knew which parts were the problem, how to start troubleshooting myself. Mobo and cpu seem fine, ssds nothing special... ram ok, gpu still only (known) physically damaged

That's possible too, worth a shot.
