Meo.pt supplied router will a U.K. Bought wifi extender work

Could I in effect by a dual band router and extender in U.K. And it work on Portuguese telephony

WiFi and ethernet standards are the same world wide, there are no issues with routers working in other countries. Now a Modem may not work properly or you may have issues with the power supply on the power grid, but just a network connection works the same in the US, UK, Uganda, etc..

Thank you for that input
I think my problem may be the land lay
I'm on a steep slope and both my main buildings have 60 cm walls
Perhaps I should go with powerline equipment as opposed to extender

Sounds like you asked the wrong question to begin with. So you have wifi already setup but the extender does not work?

60cm is pretty thick, especially if stone, no way WiFi will go through that. You can use powerline as long as both buildings are on the same power connection.

Yes I have an extender and yes I asked the wrong question, yes both buildings are on the same power lines as is the garage which is 60 metres higher up the land
Has the whole place will be reworked to new Portuguese electrical specs this powerline equipment should do the trick

Thank you so much good sir
