Hey guys,
I m looking for a gaming laptop with a maximum price of $1700 in Australia, not including shipping. I ve already built my own gaming desktop, however, I would like a more portable system. I ve done some research and am leaning towards mainly MSI and the Asus ROG. Could you s please give me your opinions as to which laptop would best suit my price range?
Thanks!

P.s. Here are some links to laptops that have caught my attention:

Overwatch and CSGO are not that GPU heavy games but BF1 and GTA5 are so yeah your best bet is invensting a bit more but ultimately it will worth. In my opinion its better saving a bit more money for a better laptop so it won't get obsolote within a year.
You can also take a look at this it is slightly cheaper, comes with a GTX970M (it's a tad bit worse than GTX1060 but still gets the job done)

Thanks for the help, however, I found Sager's shipping to be too expensive, and I don't like the idea of having to ship it back to America if something goes wrong

Where are you from then? Somehow I though you were American. Sager laptops are available worldwide so I might be able to find a retailer close to your location.

I live in Australia, Brisbane. I do like the look of Sager Laptops, and if there is a retailer closer to Australia, I would most definitely consider it

Well sadly Sager only ships to Australia and there are not retailers there. Your other option could be the Metabox laptops like this one:

Cannot save the configuration but you only have to add an HDD to it and it will be good to go.
Dunno which games do you want to play but I highly recommend getting a laptop with at least a GTX970M / GTX1060 GPU.

Are the GTX 960's no longer adequate for upcoming games?

GTX960 is okay but these laptops come with the "mobility" variant which is less powerful compared to their desktop counterparts. For example the GTX960M performs somewhere between the GTX950 and GTX750Ti, leaning towards the GTX750Ti and to be honest both cards are entry level at best.

What kind of games do you want to play? And do you need a laptop for a specific reason cuz if not then building a desktop PC will result in much more power for the same price.

I'll be playing games like Overwatch, Csgo, Battlefield 1, Grand theft Auto V, etc, etc, etc. Fortunately i already have a desktop pc, however, is getting quite old and I only use it for low-graphic games that it can handle before overheating. Plus I am more interested in a laptop as I am not always at home, and laptops offer more mobility. It looks like i may have to extend my budget to afford a 1060gtx
