Computer keeps rebooting (possibly dead GPU?)

Started back in Oct 5th. I was gaming for a while and the game/pc crashed. It rebooted on itself and when it went to the starting windows screen, it would reboot again but this time the bios said "hypertransport sync flood error".

I went on my laptop to search that and kept getting mixed results. Oddly enough I can go into safe mode and I can get to the desktop. If I pull out the graphics card it runs fine with the onboard.

I've tried uninstalling drivers and without drivers the video card too runs fine. I installed a low end spare I have and it too runs fine with drivers. So I thought it was the video card. So I ordered a new spare while I try to RMA my old one. (wich seems it will take forever)

I installed the new card and it ran fine with no problem... for about a week. Then same problems. I've tried memtest and it passed no problem. Also tried resetting bios and still nothing. I'm really hoping it's not my motherboard, but think something is killing my graphics cards So I have no idea what it is now.
If it helps, here are my specs:

But the GPUs in question: (original) XFX AMD Radeon HD6780 (new spare) XFX AMD Radeon HD6870
