Hey Everyone,

So hopefully today I will be ordering my 1070.

Need some help on which ones to get,ill give you my options.

Palit NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1070 8GB JetStream - https://goo.gl/Zjvg1s - £379.99
MSI NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1070 8GB Aero OC - https://goo.gl/cVMm5D - £389.99
Gainward NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1070 8GB Phoenix Edition - https://goo.gl/ZYPem7 - £389.99
MSI NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1070 8GB Armor OC Edition - https://goo.gl/HZbqOs - £399.98

or really any sub £400 1070,unless there was one that was £10 or £20 dearer and was far superior.

Any help is appreciated I'd love to order today so I have it by Tuesday.

Thanks people.

Solution
the Gainward Phoenix is the coolest of those cards
it's a great card. only downside: it's really ugly.

the MSI look good but the Aero is a blower card. don't get this unless you use an ITX or maybe µATX case
the Armor OC is a good card but probably not worth the additional 10pounds

the Palit is solid but not as good as the Gainward due to it's heatpipe design

£419 is not to bad and would look far better in my case tbh..

What makes this card good?

Thanks for help.

Edit.

The GTX 1070 G1 Gaming IS 425 so i would be aswell to get that!

the normal G1 is by no means better than the cards above
and the Xtreme Gaming has a 3x100mm fan design but is neither any faster nor cooler than other cards.
in benchmarks it's usually within 2 fps to the "fastest" and the "slowest" 1070.
the G1 within 3fps.
no need to overspend there

just one example:

So really there is no performance difference at all?

What one would you recommend?

you can also follow that link, they benchmark different 1070s, they're all within 3-5fps to each other

comparison

I'd go with the cheapest decent card available.
Palit Gamerock, Gainward Phoenix, Inno3D iChill X4 are the coolest
the ZOTAC AMP! gets and the ASUS ROG usually gain 1-2fps over the pack
MSI Armor, Gigabyte G1, KFA², Palit Jetstream...
those are all nice cards, what ever you can pick up cheapest will do with a 2 or 2.5 slot design and 2 or 3 fans

Yes,very little different throughout.

Really makes no different 3 frames or so,I may go with the JetStream.

Does JetStream have Samsung memory chip?

EVGA, Palit and Gainward have all released a firmware fix for this issue, if you in fact get one of the cards that have this memory issues (ain't all of them)
basically all manufacturers uses Micron chips throughout their series (MSI, Gigabyte, Zotac,...)
I got one with Micron memory and do not experience any issues so far
I guess you'd have to overclock the memory way further

all in all it's more fuss about it than it's really worth it as the fixes seem to work

haven't pushed it yet as I see no need to so far.
pushed the core clock over 2000MHz, I think 2045 and the memory to 4280. then I stopped. would probably go higher if I were to try it but I'm satisfied with stock speeds atm
