Hey, i have a question. I installed the newest drivers for my card GTX 1060 OC from Gigabyte and installed the ones from the cd. I'm just wondering if my card should overclock automatically. So, when it is in idle mode the GPU Clock and Memory Clock are normal (GPU CLOCK 1556 MHz), like on the page where i bought it. But when i go to run some benchmarks the gpu clock goes up to almost 2000 mhz and should it do it? It is doing it automatically, i haven't changed any overclock options. And what temperature is okay for the graphics card, like what is the highest it can get and not burn itself. Thanks for all the answers guys.

Solution
The card boosts itself when needed and slows down when not needed in order so save power. Your card comes with a slight factory OC out of the the box. That means that it´s maximum speed is a bit higher than a non OC´d card.
You can still change the OC profiles on the Gigabyte Xtreme Engine Software. You can download the software from the Gigabyte website. You can also set your own overclocking profile if you want.
