Hey guys, so I had a old pc, and it broke, so I recently upgraded my pc to one with a x99a sli plus motherboard, GTX 1080 FTW, 16gb (4x4gb) of ram, and a i7 5820k. However, my headphones weren;t working anymore, and I had issues with them on my phone as well. At this point in time, whenever I plugged them in, realtek (my sound card ((onboard)) ) would recognize that something was plugged into the audio Jack (front panel). However today I ran out and bought some speakers and set them up (Z313 Logitech Speakers).

I plugged them into the rear audio jack and got zero notification saying they were plugged in, didn't give any thought to it but I quickly noticed there was NO audio. I checked my devices, and I didn't even see them listed. All that was there was realtek's digital output. So I tried the front input, same issue. It won't detect them I have no audio and I've spent an hour or so trying fixes that haven't done anything and I need help.

It is good to note the speakers did indeed work on my phone.

OK sir,

I have few ideas, I guess you already tried all ports? Run a dxdiag and also look into the device menager if everything looks correct.
Another solution to check if its a hardware related problem or just system problem, try to run Linux from a USB, maybe not the best solution but works well for me sometimes.
