Solution
you don't need a z170 board with a locked CPU such as the i5-6500
get a nice B150 or H170 board instead like the Gigabyte G1.Sniper B7
instead of questionable Thermaltake PSUs, get a XFX TS / Core, a Seasonic or a Corsair CXM450
No, I am not sure.
I should have said comparable to the 6600@3.3 in the games the review tested.
Look for the comparisons using a GTX980 which is comparable in performance to a GTX1060.

In the review, the $213 i5-6600@3.3 was the comparison. The I5-6500 clocks at 3.2
The $125 i3-6100@3.7 performs comparably in all the games. Most of the time, frame rates exceed 60 which is what you might target for gaming.

If you have the budget for a $213 I5-6600 and a Z170 motherboard, consider spending $235 for a I5-6600K and $30 for a cooler. After a 40% overclock, you will have arguably the best gaming processor available today.

If you live near a microcenter, they will sell you a I5-6600K for $200.
You also get a discount on a motherboard.
