Router / Speaker - Interference / Shielding

I have my cable modem/router within a few feet of my monitor. There is a fast clicking on the monitor speakers that I am fairly sure is from RFI noise (or whatever it is called) from the cable modem/router. Moving the two items further apart isn't really an option. I noticed if I put my hand over the back of the monitor speaker bar, the clicking goes away or gets quieter. What can I buy and put back there permanently that could be used instead of my hand? Can I buy a piece of metal, perhaps the size of a business card, and put it on the back of the speaker bar with 2-sided tape? (Where would I buy such a thing? What would the search term be?) Or for metal to work as shielding does it have to be grounded or something?

Sorry, I'm not an EE.

Thanks for any suggestions.

Solution
Try some aluminum foil. So the fact that putting a hand over the back of the speaker bar makes the click quieter, is your hand maybe just muting the speaker so you can't hear it as loudly. Your hand should not be able to block any electromagnetic interference if that is the cause. Even if you can't move the two apart long term, I'm sure you can move them to test things.
