Newish PC builder here. Just Upgraded to MSI Z170A Gaming M3 MOBO. It boots just fine with one stick of memory in the second slot from the CPU, but when I add a stick into the other slots, the DRAM error LED lights up.

I've tried updating the BIOS, I know all of the sticks work individually in the second slot, I have checked thoroughly for bent pins on the MOBO (found none), and I have tried enabling XMP. Nothing has worked so far.

I have Crucial Ballistix Sport DDR4 RAM.

Any help is super appreciated! :)

Solution
Did both sticks come in a single package? If so, might try loosening the CPU cooler then snug down screw tight, if too tight in a corner or side it can throw the MC (memory controller off), another possible is bent broken pins in the CPU socket.

I just tried #1 and #3 and it still threw up a DRAM error.
