I am wondering what i will need to do to my am3 socket mobo to make this work just upgrade the bios? it is a Asus M4A89TD Pro mobo.

Unfortunately your board did not get a BIOS update for Piledriver CPUs. It only got a Beta BIOS for the Bulldozer chips, BIOS version 3027. You can see the CPU support list here/. The FX 8150 is the best CPU you can get, and it's not very good. If your software doesn't scale well beyond 4 cores, your Phenom II is likely to be better.

Well shit I already have the thing ordered. I guess I will return it when it gets in. I'm still going to try it out since its on its way but its not looking good with this info.
