I'm here asking the same age old question. I currently have a transcend 8gb 1600 MHz 1.5v ddr3 RAM plugged into my gigabyte GA h77-ds3h (1.1) and my sister gifted me a corsair vengeance 8gb 1600 MHz 1.5v ddr3. Can I try plugging both of them together to run a 16 GB memory setup. What should I be looking for to check if they're working together???!? Is it safe to do so??!? Any thing I should know before trying it out.

Solution
Give it a try, not going to break anything, they will play or they won't, there are no guarantees when mixing DRAM it's a 50/50 crapshoot. If you try and have problems, give a shout and we can try some adjustments
