I just reinstalled windows 10 on my rig and everything was fine when I went to sleep, but now it won't post and the HDD light isn't lighting up.
The HDD is getting power. The SATA cable has been checked. The GPU has been confirmed to work in another machine, and I've tried using another GPU. I threw the HDD into another machine and windows boots from it there just fine. I've removed the mobo battery with the PSU unplugged and held the power button down. I've used different RAM, and I've tried using only one DIMM. All fans are going; everything seems to be getting power. I can hear the HDD spin up normally. I've tried to use other HDDs in it too and still nothing. No beeps. I get confirmation of a signal to the monitor with both GPUs and a little splash with the GTX 650. That's all.
I'm kinda baffled; did my mobo just choose that moment to die? It's about 3 years old. I know it's not the best MOBO in the world, but...I dunno. Everything was working normally even after reinstalling Windows. I just powered down, went to sleep, woke up, turned it on, and got screwed.
Any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks.
