For the longest time, my internet has been going up and down in download speed. My ISP is mediacom. I pay for 100mbps. At most, I get 30-40mbps. Every minute or so it goes down in the .0's of speed. It makes it hard to play online games.
My router is a Netgear Nighthawk AC1900.
My modem is a arris surfboard sb6141.
I have called my ISP many times. Either they take you through the stupid process of plugging and unplugging your router, say they're going to send a technician (who ends up doing nothing, or even making it worse), or they plain up tell you that they can't help because you don't have one of the routers that they give you.
I have access to my router's settings, it would be very helpful if someone were to walk me through the optimal ones.
