So here is a video of what happens exactly:

A minute into starting up a graphically intensive game, this crash would happen. When the screen goes black the PC is still on but is completely unresponsive. I've checked out solutions to this problem online but I'm not sure if they'd apply here.

I have tried reinstalling my display adapter driver through the Device Manager. I have also tried cleaning my computer hardware but there was very little dust in the tower anyway. I tried scanning for a virus with Malwarebytes too. After all that I still have this problem. Help is very much appreciated!

You installed the driver using the divece manager? Try using DDU to really unninstall it and download the most recent driver from the ATI website. Don´t do it through the device manager.
What are the temps when that happens? Can be overheating. You can use MSI Afterburner OSD to see that while playing. And you can also use a personalized curve for the fans so that they keep the card cooler.
If no solution is found with both of those things, your card is probably dying on ya.

Could also be your PSU is insufficient or is dying.
If you know you have a "good" psu then it's probably your gpu.
However, if you have some POS Chinswan PSU, I'm willing to bet that it's the psu that's the problem.
