i'm planning on getting a 1080 (ik itll bottleneck, theres a reason why im getting a 1080) and i have no clue on using nando's tutorial about trying to figure out what my laptop has if i can use 4gb of something. its very confusing and i just want to make sure it works before buying a whole egpu setup. im still buying the 1080 for a future pc build thats 1 or 2 months ahead i just want to see if i can do something great with the laptop before i stop using it or sell it. thanks in advanced for anyone who replies. : )

My purely personal opinions: egpus are expensive; I would not buy one for two months of use. I also took a quick look at the machine on the web site and I don't see what connection you would use. Which one(s) did you have in mind?
