If I shut down my computer and then power it on, it will only detect my primary hard drive (SSD) but not my secondary hard drive (Non SSD). If I reset my computer, it will then detect both drives. This happens every time I boot my PC. I believe it's a setting in the BIOS but I'm unsure what to check. Any ideas?

There's a whole bunch of stuff you can try...
(Ensure you have a backup of the data on that drive).

1. Test the drive with a HDD diagnostic program, preferably one from the manufacturer. You may be dealing with a defective disk.
2. Ensure the data/power cables are SECURELY attached to the drive.
3. Try a different motherboard SATA port.
4. Try a different SATA data cable.
5. It's also conceivable you may be dealing with a defective PSU.

Try to connect it on another PC and check whether the problem exist or not. If it is working fine, then possibly motherboard is bad. It may be SATA port which is creating the issue, so try a different SATA cable.
