My motherboard on my computer died on me. I had an old computer with just laying around with a working motherboard, so I just put all my hardware from dead computer into this one. The computer works for the most part; however, a lot of things like to crash. Chrome is constantly crashing (giving me the oh snap something went wrong), games I play, LoL and things on Steam crash with no error at all. They just close out. I am starting to think that maybe the motherboard is not compatible with something I put in, or is maybe something else wrong? It isn't a huge deal, but it gets extremely annoying when I'm trying to watch a sporting event online and chrome crashes 12 times in a row. Here's what I have under the hood:

Asus M5A78L-M LX Plus
AMD Athlon II x4 640
1023Mb NVIDIA GeForce GTX 650
8Gb Dual Channel DDR3
1Tb Seagate ST31000520AS ATA

If you need anything else let me know. I would really appreciate some help in this.

I'm sorry I forgot to include that in my post. That was one of the first things I did. Completely reformatted hard drive and have reinstalled windows twice.

I think it was loosely connected RAM. I had ran a memory test before posting and said was fine, but I took the sticks out and put them back in and it seems to be fixed so far. I've gone most of the day without a problem. Can't believe it was so simple lol. Thanks
