Hello. I am very new to the world of PC gaming, and naturally have no clue as to what is good for what. Below are the specs for the computer I am looking at. I am looking to play a game like overwatch on high-ultra settings at 1080-1440p at 40-60fps. and the witcher 3 if I can get away with it. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

CPU: Intel Pentium Anniversary Edition G3258
Motherboard: MSI B85M-E45 Motherboard
Graphics: XFX Radeon RX 470 RS Triple X 4GB
Memory: Kingston HyperX Fury HX318C10FK2/8 8GB (2x4GB) Blue
Solid State Drive: Samsung 750 EVO 120GB
Hard Drive: Seagate Barracuda 1TB ST1000DM003
Case: Nanoxia Deep Silence 4 Claw Black/Blue
Power Supply: Be Quiet! Pure Power 9 500W Power Supply
Additional Lighting: PCCG LED Strip White 30cm
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 10 Home USB Flash Drive

Solution
As the other guys are saying that G3258 will more than likely hold back the RX470 and struggle with most games, requiring an update to a more powerful CPU sooner. With the i3 6100 or an older i5 4*** series you will be able to run games such as Overwatch easily at your desired settings without low fps or stuttering. I would strongly recommend a more powerful, hyperthreaded CPU.

As for the rest of the system it all looks good. With the Skylake CPU you will also be able to benefit from the DDR4 RAM allowing for faster speeds and more reliable performance.
Do you want 1080p or 1440p. It's doesn't sound much but the difference to required gpu is significant. Ideally you want no less than an i3 6300 or preferably an i5 6500 at least for the CPU. Then if you decide you want 1440p then you should look at the GTX 1070, if 1080p you have more options such as 1050/1060 or AMD's 470/480.

Also, my friend has this same computer and he runs overwatch just fine. Could you let me know if (with or without a different processor) it could run the Witcher 3 at a decent FPS as well? thanks

And id also add, aware that price going up, the 120gb ssds are poor value, with the 240 not much more. Problem is, with games the size they are, a single 120 with windows will maybe hold your programs and one game, maybe 2. This can get very annoying.

Once you have experienced a game on an ssd, you won't want them on a HDD. Loading times are much improved and games that regularly save can present stutters when accessing hdds (oddly witcher ia a prime example!
