This is a stupid question and yeah gaming on a laptop is not great due to temperature issues and stuff but I have no other choice at the moment (planning to upgrade my desktop PC sometime but not yet now)

I have an ASUS X456UQ notebook with these specs:
Intel Core i5-6200U @ 2.80 GHz
Nvidia GeForce GT-940MX 2GB DDR3
Samsung DDR4 3000 MHz 4GB
Windows 10 Pro Anniversary Update

Solution

I didn't look for the best option, I looked for the first option.
If you search a little bit longer you'll find 2x8GB and that'll do you good. or 2x4GB, that also works...

you should be able to play a good few games on that, maybe not some more intense ones like bf1, but most games should work fine

Than yes, it should be enable to run newer titles but not at highest settings and not at 60+.

Well I should have revised my question...
I want to run Fallout 4 without lag
(Running FC4 @ 32 fps LOW, FC3 @ 45-62 fps HIGH, Watch Dogs @ 42 fps HIGH, DOTA 2 somewhere at 56-115 fps ULTRA)
===OVERCLOCKED with Afterburner===

6GB RAM is the minimum right?
Running other games wasn't that too hard for the CPU I think...although my notebook is spewing out very hot air so I am pushing it to its limits

If you want to solve the issue with your laptop being too hot you can always get a coolingpad. They're actually really good. Unless you have an A4 APU laptop... bad experience that I've had.

Are there DDR4 laptop RAM available for purchase now?
I think they are just available for desktops at the moment

If you search a little bit longer you'll find 2x8GB and that'll do you good. or 2x4GB, that also works.

This will leave you with room for future upgrading, however it's only 2133Mhz as 3000Mhz seems to be hard to find at the right speed.

This is the only thing I could find at 3000Mhz that is not 32GB.

If you don't count with this one.
