Going to play in raids 20+ ppl, so find my FPS kinda low. Could you please give me an advice for reasonable upgrade.

Current config:
CPU: DualCore Intel Core i3-530, 2933 MHz
MB: Gigabyte GA-P55M-UD4 (1 PCI, 1 PCI-E x4, 2 PCI-E x16, 4 DDR3 DIMM, Audio, Gigabit LAN, IEEE-1394)
Video: Asus STRIX NVIDIA GeForce GTX 960 (2048 Mb)
RAM: 2*4069 1333Mhz
Power: cannot check atm, but it is quite new (bought with video) and ~500W
Resolution: 1920*1280

Buget: ~300$
Actually you can move upper value if it is will be reasonable, but basically 350$ the critical amount

Overclocking: not really familiar with it, but could lear some resources in case

Comments:
- Going to upgrade mainly CPU+MB but also can consider RAM (depending on buget)
- Had attempts to choose components by myself according to tips of friends etc. and faced several questions:
1. My first option appeared i3 6100 + h110m + ddr4
2. There was an advise not to change RAM type and stay with my old DDR3 and invest free funds to i5 6500/6600, but I read that Skylake work fine with only DDR4 and 1.35v DDR3 but my old one is 1.5v so I became confused.
3. One more opinion I got is that now is not a real good time for CPU upgrade coz AMD Zen should appear on the market soon. So now I'm totaly confused coz I don't really want to play with low FPS but also don't want to spend my money with low efficiency.

So I will be glad to get a tip from you guys. Many thanks in advance

The i5 6600 is not worth the $20 price premium, over the 6500. This would be a better idea, for a similar price.

A quad core cpu would be the best thing to get, and its good that you did your research, 1.5v ram would be bad for a skylake cpu, you can run the ram at a lower voltage (slower speed) to get around that and your fps would be higher (loading times would be slower) but you would still be stuck with ddr3 ram

The cpu's coming out next year wont be much of an upgrade to the current cpu's, still 14nm, will probably just be another 5-10% increase, Zen could easily suck, theres no way to tell yet, up to you if you want to wait

This is the best i could do with $350

For $40-$50 more you could get a much better z170 MB

Appreciate your help! But I'm wondering should I consider only Z170 chipset (e. g. not H110) for my aims?
And in case we raise budget up to 400$ on which MB should I pay attention?

Don't limit yourself to the Z170 chipset if you're not purchasing a K series CPU to go with it. I agree wholeheartedly with Tommy's part list. Not a whole lot I'd change with it given the constraints of the budget.

Never run with 1 stick of ram, 2 sticks allows you to use more channels, which means much better performance
One stick will work but will perform very poorly
I aslo dont like crucial ram but if its all you can get then get 2x4gb instead

If you never intend to SLI then a h110 or h170 board is fine, the price of an h170 is about the same as a z170 so its not really worth it, but the h110's price is low enough that it could be worth it if you dont mind less features and much smaller size

I don't have experience with AsRock, i usually go with ASUS, MSI, or gigabyte, but from what i can tell AsRock seems fine, those specific boards look decent too

Here: http://pcpartpicker.com/list/83cTXL
If you can go for an MSI or gigabyte H110 then get one of those, i just picked asrock because i dont know what you have available to you
You can also change the sellers by editing that list and clicking the gear icon next to the buy button, might be able to select a seller that ships to your country

Thank you again for your tips! Actually I'm not going to have SLI, also I heard that Z170 is only needed for overclocking issues. So in case I would like to get H110 will it be efficient enough with i5 6600 and my GTX 960? Or which features I'm about to refuse if I get H110?

Personally I don't really like MSI so I will check what I can get from ASUS and GIGABYTE (to compare to AsRock). I'm also wondering is there any tests for figuring out which one is slightly better? Or most of MBs among certain chipset are pretty identical and the difference is only in USB / HDMI / DVI etc. ports amount?

Heres a good article showing the differences between them: http://www.gamersnexus.net/guides/2099-intel-chipset-comparison-z170-h170-h110

The only way to know what brand is better is to read reviews, not the reviews on sites where you can buy the item, but the reviews on tech sites like guru3d or anandtech, just search for reviews for whatever item you are considering to buy

But yes, a h110 is sufficient enough to run those things if you really don't want to pay extra for a z170

Oh thank you! Didn't know any foreigh resources for reading such reviews. Read some locals and they said many positive things about AsRock. So its much better to know many points of view :)

Hey guys, one of my friends confuse me a bit saying i3 6300 and i5 6600 will do the same (or almost) FPS for World of Warcraft coz it is using only 2 cores. Does it make sense or not? I'm not going to capture videos or something which really reqieres powerful CPU, only WoW playing.
