Laptop Display Issue

when I start my laptop up it displays the windows 10 logo with a spinning wheel but then the screen goes black. I can then hear the login sound and skype starting up but then nothing. I have to close the lid and reopen it and it shows up, do you have any idea what could be causing this? May there be a loose connection?

Any input would be appreciated.

It's possible to be a lose connection, but usually such thing is not predictable - and the way you explained the problems seems replicable and predictable.

Or... it could be also that it [wrongly] tries to output to different display then after closing&opening the lid, realizes that it should output to different one - try to connect a display and see if any output...

Your GPU is trying to display a resolution your monitor cannot display.
Or your laptop is outputting to the HDMI/VGA.

try playing with the funtion buttons on the keyboard for changing screen output.
Try plugging it into a TV/Monitor

Lastly boot windows into safe mode
