I have an HP pavilion a6009n desktop PC. Most of its 14 year life it has run XP pro. For a year or more it has been crashing on an particular website with a screen similar to http://i.imgur.com/yelfV5E.jpg. About a month ago Win 7 pro was installed and the problem became a little more frequent, subsequently it has become more frequent. About 80% of the time crashes occur on a mouse click. A right click in the tool gray almost always results in a crash. The PSU was replaced by a Rosewill Stallion 450 watt 2 years ago. At the beginning of October memory was upgraded to 4 x 2GB DDR2 PC4200 533MHz. This made no difference. There are 3 HDDs attached totaling 3.4amps. There are 2 optical drives and a backup WD USB passport ultra HDD. I will disconnect 2 HDDs to see if that has any effect.
This machine is used for general browsing, E-mail, word-processing, downloading, video streaming and video reprocessing. No gaming.
My hunch is that the integrated video graphics is failing.
The question is it worth adding a $100 graphics board or are there more cost effective options I should consider? Can the new RAM and PSU be included in a rebuild? I would like to stay with Win7 but I think I only have an OEM key.

Advice much appreciated. John.

GT 710 video board installed. Some issues getting the video driver to install and after enabling the Realtek chipset on the Mobo sound was restored and all seems well. No crashes so far.
