Hi guys,

I've bought a second-hand msi gtx 560ti hawk (which should be one with really nice temps) a year ago. Now this gpu didn't heat a lot, like the most highest temp it would reach would be 93 C by benchmarks (even though that is also very high for this hawk edition).

So i went to clean the gpu, change thermal paste, usual stuff, to see if temps would reduce. And to my surprise i saw this thing for the first time. The tile or platter (don't know how it's called) of gpu chip came off and it seemed like it was glued or something to the cooler instead of pcb.

I removed it from cooler, and tried to glue it to the chip with thermal paste, and then on top if i put thermal paste for the cooler itself. I thought i did everything right, but now it's worse then it was.
While in idle, gpu is working normally, but when i even do something very little heavy gpu temps go crazy, like easily 90 C playing custom game in League of Legends (which was 60C before).

I even run heaven benchmark for the sake of it, and gpu rocks to 110C in a second, and computer shut it down of course.

What can i do with gpu to reduce the temps, how am i suppose to place this platter (if that is the name for it) ?

Here are the pictures for you to get a view of the situation:

Ok here is the update:
A guy from nvidia's forum helped what i should do. I was suppose to thermal adhesive (thermal epoxy) on the chip, so that plate would "glue" to the chip and it's borders, and then on top of it i put thermal compound and put the cooler back.

The thing is now, instead of rising from 100C + on benchmarks, it just sits on 100C, which is way then it should be.
Does anyone else have idea what did i miss ?
