Hello Friends,

I wanted to upgrade my RAM from 8 GB DDR3 to 16 GB DD3, as per the Mobo specifications:

http://www.gigabyte.com/products/product-page.aspx?pid=4311

2 x 1.5V DDR3 DIMM sockets supporting up to 16 GB of system memory (Note 1)
Dual channel memory architecture
Support for 1333+ (O.C.)/1066 MHz memory modules

So, I searched the forum and found that even if I buy the RAM of more frequency, it will work at the max supported frequency as per my Mobo. I purchased Corsair 1600 MHz value select and my computer is running now on 16 GB. I checked using Speccy and it says 800 something making a total of 1600 MHz something. Earlier it used to show 600 MHz something to make a total of 1300 MHz.. I am curious to know how come its running now on 1600 MHz? Is it fine or if my Mobo can support more frequency too.

I have not upgraded the BIOS and I think the technology of auto update is still not there. Is there anyone using the same Mobo? With same or more RAM? I would also like to add a Graphic Card to my system and the best that it can support? Could you let me know which one to buy with this? Budget is not an issue, please provide all the supported model numbers be it DDR3 or DDR5. As of now, I am using AMD FX-6100 so whichever would be the best compatible with this CPU and 16GB DDR3. As of now my Mobo is running fine, but if something happens then would replace it with a better one for 32GB or 64 GB RAM support to run more virtual machines.

Later on will configure a PC from scratch in a separate thread. As of now, only suggest the best Graphics Card to play all sort of Games and Graphic Editing as per this configuration and then later on to replace the Motherboard in the same configuration for more RAM support. Also, is there anyone using 4TB of HDD with this? I was about to buy today but then didn't as wasn't sure, though I remembered that it supports 3TB as per the site.

I hope that I am not confusing you too much :)
