Hello
I have recently got gtx 1070. Since then I am experiencig horrible performance problems. I had gtx 780 before and everything was allright. All I know is that the graph card is OK, because it was tested by guys who run copmuter store
I am confused what to do. All temperatures are alright no bluescrees etc. Any ideas?

I think it could be an issue with the game. I have everything on low with a 740 and am usually fine but occasionally go down to a few fps for a bit. Specifically after tabbing out.

Yah dude I'm actually going to the point to selling my I5 6600K because it's a bottleneck for my GTX 1070. Its pretty sad .... Like the I5 just isn't cutting it with the newer games like we have seen on Gears Of War 4 and Battlefield 1. So I'd take into consideration of purchasing a new CPU . An Intel I5 is bare minimum for the game.

Problem solved
You were right guys. I5 2500k @ 4.8 GHz was seriously bottlenecking GTX 1070 in battlefield NO DOUBT. Anyone who says that i5 is enough are simply lying :p
Bought i7 4790k completely solved the problem. now fps does not go lower than 75 FPS
Thanks again guys

Its the BF1 multiplayer that's crippling i5's

It's just that real good triple AAA Titles are wanting some beefy parts man. Ill tell you what. My I5 6600K is a bottleneck for this GPU. Yes this is a stretch, but for most games its good. However for the newer titles im seeing that i should treat my EVGA FTW 1070 with some love and get the I7 6700K. But then again im not treating my wallet....

The i5 2500k is really good, it could really handle previous games at FHD, ultra with no choke.
The Witcher 3, BF4, GTA 5, Arma III etc. stable 75 FPS + (except for arma - it really depends on missions)
It is easy to OC even 4.8 GHz wasn't the problem at all
But to be honest, it has problems to hande newer games. I can officially say the legendary i5 2500k has reached it's limit
:( I will miss it :(

Running an fx 8300 at 3.5 and 1060 6gb, So far its ultra by default, vsync off, i set the fps limit in a cfg file, the game does favor more threads like mentioned i suppose. I'm hitting well above 60's but capped it as i said, im only on a 60hz monitor. 1080p. Why is it mostly intel lagging behind? I don't get it.

Its a game that can actually utilise all 8 threads of the FX8xxx series, they actually do very well in BF1 compared to other games.
