So im planning to buy a GTX 1060 but i don't know if i will be able to connect it to my monitor which is an old LG W2243S monitor that only has one VGA port. I have a DisplayPort to VGA adapter but i don't know if it will work, i would appreciate some help on this

Solution
I'm sure they make them in all kinds ? just read the product info and specs of each one then hope it works as expected ?

like I said I went with a 900 series that has native out of the box analog support wit its dvi ''I'' and the junky passave adaptor that added in the box works fine ?

I guess look before you leap and why i bought a card that supports me and my needs not spend 400 bucks to go spend 30 - 200 more on a adaptor or a new monitor on top of that ?? that's where your at now hope a active adaptor will work or get a monitor that's the card can support

plenty of threads here at toms on this maybe look them over for a good solution or some product suggestions...

Pascal GPUs only have DVI-I so you can't connect a DVI to VGA adapter to them i i don't believe the DP connector on Pascal supports analog signals

the DP to VGA adapter that i have looks exactly like the HDMI to VGA adapter you linked but the only difference is that it's a DP connector instead of HDMI but all the rest might aswell be copy paste

well ??? guess should of bought a 900 series card or a new monitor ??

see now you got to support them not them supporting you with todays hardware .. you got a just as expensive vid card that cant do as much as there older series with out YOU spending more to support it ....
