I have two WD 6TB Blue drives. I use them to clone my main drive using a Anker USB 3.0 to SATA adapter. I use the Macrium reflect software for the cloning. One drive takes 8 hours to do the cloning and the other drive takes 40 hours to do the cloning. I have used hard disk sentinel to look at the settings of the drives as I wish I could find a way for the slow drive to operate like the fast one. When I look at the ATA features of the fast drive the Host Protected Area is checked and supported but on the slow drive this feature is not supported and is unchecked. Could this be the cause of the difference and how can I get this feature to be supported in the drive that now says unsupported?

The drive being cloned has 2.08 TB free and 3.35 TB used

Do both drives have the same amount of free space? Also, are both drives 7200 rpm? WD lists both 7200 rpm and 5400 rpm for their Blue line. To be honest, 8 hours seems a bit fast for transferring 3.35 TB, and 40 hours seems incredibly slow, like USB 2.0 speeds.

Both drives are 5400 rpm
All partitions are deleted on the destination drive at the start of the clone procedure
