just got my new setup up and running and since i got the K verision and a watercooler i figured why not overclock it. so i went to the bios and changed the multiplier from 40 to 45 wich should be safe. i click ok ant the pc turns off as expected (i think) and then it goes back on for 5 secs then off again. it turns on after that again but i get no post so i turn the pc completely off since i dont know what else to do and turn it on again. now this varied from time to time but i managed to get the bios open again and booted it with the windows boot drive and it works. but if i restart it the same no post problem happens. im not sure whats the problem here but since i get 45 celsius under hard load it really annoys me that i cant use this head space. Here is my specs btw

i7 6700K
gtx 1080 founders edition
16 gigs of ram
Z170-p asus motherboard

thanks and sorry for my horrible typing skills, its 3 in the morning and after 2 hours of frustration i have given up on proper literature :)

also! watch your temps :D . increasing your multiplier doesnt increase temps, incrasing your voltage does, and quite quickly if your not careful, depending on your water cooler depends on how much you can do :)

yeah...well i upped the volts and i saw no effect and it became even more unstable so i cant overclock the cpu, the tinyest adjustment from its factory preset just messes with the whole system. Its a shame really but ill give it a shot on the gpu as its running at around 60 at full load wich isnt that bad.
