Hello,

I am making my first custom gaming PC and I needed some help looking for a good motherboard that supports the Intel i7-6700 (not K, I'm not going to overclock!) If you could please provide a PC part picker or Amazon link that would be great. Thanks for any info.

Kind regards,

Elliott

Ok. Thanks for the link. Which one(s) would you recommend?

If you never plan to get a cpu that you will overclock, you really dont need to spend much. You dont need Z170, and can go with H170 or B150. You may be short of a few features on these lower end chipsets with things such as usb 3.1 type c, m.2 slots, PCIE lanes, PCIE slots, and some other things. Here is a board that looks nice, and will be just fine for you. If you want a board that has all the features that you could want, and could use in a later build where you may overclock, go for the second board.
