My usb drive was working fine until I decided to format it (not quick format). When it got to 100% it could not finish, so I restarted PC. Turning on the message about failed installing driver appeared and after this usb drive is not detected anymore. Nor Windows disc management can see it, nor bios, no sound, tried on another Windows-no luck, tried even ubuntu live cd and different utilities from Hiren's bootcd, nothing!
Is there nothing could be done? it's 30Gb flash drive and I don't want to trash it out so easily, please anyone help.

Hey there, @david3026!

Unfortunately, if you cannot see the drive using multiple recovery utilities and multiple Windows computers, I'm afraid that you might be dealing with a failed USB drive. :( There's nothing that you can do by yourself, if you cannot get it detected from anywhere.
I'm just glad that you don't have any important files that might need to be recovered, because then you would need the assistance of a professional data recovery company.
My recommendation would be to check if the USB drive is covered by the warranty, especially if it's recently acquired. If not, I'd definitely consider replacing it.

Good luck!

Tried that, it didn't see.

One thing I didn't mention, I had Usb Safegurad installed on the drive. It sets password and creates virtual drive to access data. Before I did format, I deleted Usb Safegurad exe, then formatted.
Windows had issues with formatting before happened to my dvds but to make a drive completely unusable I could not imagine.
Anyone with some original solution please?!
