So I was using my computer to when the whole display went black only showing the curser. Afterseeing this I waited a couple minutes then I held the power button on to turn the machine off. When I turned the computer back on it said the CPU was overheating and I should change the fan settings. After changing the settings to turbo instead of standard the computer shut off. Ever since then it won't display and the led on the motherboard is switched on every time I try to boot it. I also have already tried all the cmos and ram fixes and it's 100% the cpu. Finally I also did use a can of compressed air and cleaned the whole pc including putting new thermal paste on the cpu. When I put new thermal paste on it there seemed to be no visual apparent damage that may of happened from it overheating although I may say it definitely needed more thermal paste.

You can't corrupt a motherboard with a Windows driver so it does not actually turn on unless it's flashing the BIOS. If it does not even show you a display at all, it's not a driver issue or anything Windows did to the system.

If you have an add-on card did you check it on the onboard video also, with the other card removed?

The system wasn't overclocked. The motherboard is the Asus z87-c and the cpu is the i5 4790k. I have a feeling the mb was corrupted as a asus driver was installing in the background when it all happened.
