So I built a new system. Everything was fine, for the first 36 hrs. I then decided to swap video cards as my old system's is much better than what I put in the in the new computer (I used it just to start installing things, and kept the old system intact in case I needed to use it to help troubleshoot.)

After moving the new system into my room, with the new vid card (GTX 970). I hooked everything up and nothing but a clicking noise. Checked all the cables, restarted, some of the fans spun but still the clicking noise. Put the old card back in, same clicking noise.

In all no screen came up just a rhythmic click from what I assume was the psu.

Swapped power supplies. They are identical EVGA Supernova 750w G2. The power supply from the old computer made the same clicking noise. Swapped psu again, old computer started fine.

Tried the new system again and now no power and no clicking. I never smelled, heard or saw anything that would indicate a short. I am reasonable sure the psu is fine.

At loss how a simple card swap and moving rooms caused this. Pretty put off to say the least.

New system i5 6600; AsRock Z170 Pro4S; 32 Gb Ram.

Any thoughts? I'll probably take in to see if I can get it repaired tomorrow.
