This has been asked a lot, but I havent seen a clear answer yet.

I'm builidng a gaming system soon, and the PSU I'm looking at (https://www.amazon.com/EVGA-SuperNOVA-PLATINUM-Warranty-220-P2-0850-X1/dp/B010HWDPKW/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1477389166&sr=8-1&keywords=EVGA%2Bsupernova%2B850%2BP2&th=1) has a 28 pin motherboard connector (18 + 10) while the motherboard I want (ASUS z170 pro gaming) only supports a 24 pin connection. I understand some companies use these extra four pins as sense wires, but the z170 doesn't have an addition 4 pin slots (that I can see). Does this mean I wont be able to use these two components together?
