Hello all,
Managed to get a used FX-4350 from a friend.
I have just installed it into my MSI 970A-G43 motherboard. With an Arctic Freezer 7.
I set coretemps fail safe temperature to 65c and all of a sudden after 10 mins of usage, it prompted that 'Core 3 had reached specified temperature threshold' and shut my computer off.
Which I find to be quite odd as coretemp only has one reading which was between 18 - 35c.
Should I disregard this and view it as an erroneous temperature and just believe what CPU-ID is showing me. (I also turned off turbo core, as my motherboard doesn't have decent VRMs so wanted to avoid wasted voltage spikes for an extra 100mhz)
Please see my CPU-ID log after playing a light game for 10 minutes. I've had no lock ups or freezes after I turned off the failsafe on core temp.
