Hello, I have an 18.5 inches monitor that only supports VGA and I have an AMD RX 460 that supports DVI-D. Now I am planning to buy an adapter to make it work. What adapter should I buy that will not cost me much? Thanks!

Thank you for the answer pal. Is that the cheaper active adapter in the market? If not then what could it be? Can you link it to me? Thanks!

Should I use the single or the dual link DVI? Sorry I'm new to this. I'm so confused.

The adapter I linked is the kind you need to use. Not sure what you're asking specifically here.

You would plug the DVI-I side of the adapter into the DVI-I output of your video card. You would then run your VGA cable between the adapter and monitor.

I also have the same problem as this guy, I mean, If I bought an Active HDMI/DVI to VGA converter, it wouldnt work on my monitor, since my monitor's port is VGA FEMALE and the Active Adapter's VGA port is also FEMALE, I have an adapter here and its a male-to-male VGA,

Here is my plan:
RX 460 >> Active HDMI to VGA Adapter >> Male-to-Male VGA Adapter >> Monitor

Would it work?

Male to male vga adaptor? You probably just mean the cable there I believe, but yes, that should be fine.
