So I bought the Gtx 1060 3gb from evga and it only came with one side that connects to my gpu that has 6 pins, and then it splits into two cables that are like really short, I heard they're called a molex cable, it's the only cable the came With the graphics card. I don't see anywhere, where it can fit or plug into. Do I have to buy something? Or is the cable just not mandatory, I turned on the pc and the fan was still running so idk at this point, thanks

Whats the make and model of the PSU? I very rarely recommend using power adapters(even the ones that ship with a card). Ideally your PSU should already have a 6-pin pci-e connector, if it doesn't then there's a good chance it too weak or too old and should not be used with the card.
