Hello

I've just assembled my new pc. I dont have Windows 10 installed yet. Still it works pretty fine unless that if i use hdmi in the graphic card, it refuses to detect anything.
But when connected to Mobo it works fine.

Specs:
Cpu intel core i-6600k 3.5ghz
Gpu Gainward Geforce 1060 (6gb)
mobo Asus Z170 PRO GAMING
psu Super Flower Platinum King 550W
ram corsair lpx smth, (does it even matter? lol)

Well, yeah I have no idea what to do :s

Solution

Well actually I plugged off HDMI and just came with a monitor that has a DVI-G port (or smth like this?) and plugged the graphic card on that monitor then it worked. After seeing this I unplugged this monitor and plugged TV back on again with the HDMI, and voila! Out of the blue this TV works aswell!!!
Seriously, the only reason I can think of is that I accidently misplugged HDMI into a display port. Since I have 3 display...

You really answered your own question here, mate. If the integrated graphics are detecting using the HDMI cord, but the GPU isn't, then you have a faulty GPU. It would be the HDMI cord if NEITHER worked; but since Integrated graphics do work, you're pinned down to the GPU.

1) Uninstall all graphics drivers using DDU, and reinstall.
2) Make sure the MOBO drivers are 100% installed (and correctly)
3) Ensure the GPU is plugged into the PCIE correctly.
- Clean out the slot if necessary.
4) Try a different PCIE slot if it continues to fail.
5) (No-brainer) Make sure your monitor is configured correctly (inputs, etc).

Another option is to try the card in another build to see if it's a different internal.

UEFI BIOS from motherboard detects my graphic card correctly it seems to me. And I have nothing installed (no OS, no additional drivers or anything) just bios uefi, that came from my mobo ..

Forgot to mention that i am using a UHD TV (with 4k resolution) Could it be that I am missing some Geforce driver updates for using a TV as video output? :3

Wait, are you trying to display 4k? TV output is the same as Monitor output, so that wouldn't be an issue. If you're trying to display 4k, the 1060 will not do it very well, if at all for that matter.

If you haven't taken the GPU out and air dusted the PCIE slot, do that now and report back with results.

Whatever, it works now.
So Thank you very much for taking your time!
I kinda feel bad for wasting it tho :-/

DVI-D/I is usually standard in devices :p If you accidentally plugged an HDMI into a display port, I give you some serious props for ripping through the molding (because that's not possible lmao).

You're very welcome though, gratz on the fix!

You probably had a bad connection for some reason between the cables.

Why would you not be able to run a 4k display on a 1060? You can do 4k playback on intel integrated graphics just fine. It could just be the HDMI port on the card.

OP: Use the integrated graphics to install the graphics driver for your 1060 and, if there is one, update your motherboard bios. Then go into your bios and set primary graphics to PCIE1 or whatever slot you have the 1060 in. Try restarting the computer a few times, it may take a few restarts before the motherboard uses the 1060 before the iGPU. If that doesn't work then either clear the CMOS and try again or try a different port on the card.

EDIT: NVM you fixed it, nice
