Hello,
This may be a popular question but I have yet to find a scenario quite like mine. My 3yo MSI GTX 650 ti Boost is now useless. I have moved on to a new GPU, but would like to figure out what went wrong.
The 650 spins by itself, at max fan speed as soon as I boot up, never slowing down. I removed the 6 pin power supply cable and it still spins by itself. It is not recognized by any GPU drivers/software and sends no signal. I also tested the GPU in other computers and had the same result. Could it be something to do with the thermal compound (as a friend suggested), or shorted out?
Thank you very much.
