i'm not entirely sure if the hdmi to vga active converter is causing it,
but whenever i use DSR with gpu scaling the monitor's go blank and says out of range. my converter's max is 1080p60fps,
my vga monitor is only 1440*900, i suspect the converter makes the driver unable to detect my correct max resolution and scale down the games to it, ESPECIALLY that all the available dsr resolutions are all in 16:9 (my resolution is 16:10)
so is there someway to limit my resolution or override the dsr/driver settings settings to 16:10 and make it scale down to 1440*900?
modify my real max resolution like in AMD drivers ?

Solution
Agreed get the proper monitor for the job.

Getting a GTX 1060 wtih a VGA only 1440x990 monitor is like having a 500hp engine in a car with tires that can not exceed 60 mph.

The best resolution would be to buy a new digital monitor that won't require the active adapter. No hot-fixes come to mind I'm afraid. :(

Definitely keep an eye on the thread for a few days though, some other Tom's-goer might have a neat trick up their sleeve.
