I'm trying to find a good sound card for my new speakers that are coming soon. I also have a good pair of headphones that I think would benefit from being plugged into something other than the on board sound card.
Just for reference, this is the speaker set I got: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00U7HQWRQ/ref=od_aui_detailpages00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

And these are my headphones: https://www.amazon.com/Perfect10-Over-Ear-Headphones-ComfortMax%C2%AE-XPT100/dp/B0093PVTPS

I'm also hoping this will fix an issue I'm having with my modmic 4.0 where my voice is barely audible/muffled if it can be heard at all even though I can hear tapping directly on the mic just fine. I read that getting a better sound card will help with this issue. I've tried all other troubleshooting options.

I've narrowed it down to these two:
1. https://www.amazon.com/Xonar-DGX-PCI-E-GX2-5-Engine/dp/B007TMZ1BK/ref=pd_sim_147_1?_encoding=UTF8&pd_rd_i=B007TMZ1BK&pd_rd_r=4MF86EVJ72FEPJSTA8WR&pd_rd_w=C6LIs&pd_rd_wg=YPDTy&psc=1&refRID=4MF86EVJ72FEPJSTA8WR
2. https://www.amazon.com/Creative-Blaster-Audigy-Performance-Headphone/dp/B00EO6X4XG

Thanks!

In my personal opinion, the Asus Xonar Essence STX is the definitive card for headphones, at least non-professional. But quite a bit more expensive than those two.
