Hey Guys
I just purchased a HP Elitebook 8560w
7-2760QM, 2.40GHz (Turbo up to 3.50GHz), quad-core processor, 6MB
L3 Cache, 8 threads, 45W
I plan on doing a upgrade swapping out the current hdd for the ssd listed below;
Intel 540s Series 480 GB SSD SATA3.0 2.5'' SSDSC2KW480H6X1
Capacity 480 GB
Status Launched
Launch Date Q1'16
Datasheet Link
Lithography Type 16nm
-Performance
Sequential Read (up to) 560 MB/s
Sequential Write (up to) 480 MB/s
Random Read (8GB Span) (up to) 78000 IOPS
Random Write (8GB Span) (up to) 85000 IOPS
Latency - Read 50 µs
Latency - Write 50 µs
Power - Active 90 mW Typical
Power - Idle 50 mW Typical
-Reliability
Vibration - Operating 2.17 GRMS (5-700Hz)
Vibration - Non-Operating 3.13 GRMS (5-800Hz)
Shock (Operating and Non-Operating) 1500 G/0.5 ms
Operating Temperature Range 0°C to 70°C
Mean Time Between Failures (MTBF) 1.6 Million Hours
Uncorrectable Bit Error Rate (UBER) <1 sector per 10^16 bits read
Warranty Period 5 yrs
HP Site say this HP Elitebook 8560w supports the following specs below;
Supports the following 7.0 mm, 9.5-mm, and 12.7 mm SATA hard drives
(6.35 cm (2.50 in) )
● 750 GB, 7200 rpm
● 500 GB, 7200 rpm
● 320 GB, 7200 rpm Self Encrypting Drive
320 GB, 7200 rpm
My question is; will the intel ssd work well with this mobile workstation and if not can anyone recommend an ssd that will?
I apologize for the long post but wanted to provide all information to receive the best answer.
