HP Site say this HP Elitebook 8560w supports the following specs below;

Supports the following 7.0 mm, 9.5-mm, and 12.7 mm SATA hard drives
(6.35 cm (2.50 in) )
● 750 GB, 7200 rpm
● 500 GB, 7200 rpm
● 320 GB, 7200 rpm Self Encrypting Drive
320 GB, 7200 rpm

My question is; will the intel ssd work well with this mobile workstation and if not can anyone recommend an ssd that will?

I apologize for the long post but wanted to provide all information to receive the best answer.

Solution

No need to be concerned but you will need a way clone the old drive to the new SSD. There are lots of tools for this but they will require a way for you to hook both drive up to the same computer.

Can you please explain why I should be concerned? Not sure what you mean about transferring data over?

I understand now! I cloned a hdd to ssd before with Acronis and after the clone the OS would not update and I ran into other issues therefore to be safe I'm planning on just doing a clean install of the OS and hopefully I can use the same product key to activate.
