I just got a new MSI Z170A Motherboard with 4 sticks of 8gb G.SKILL TridentZ 3200. After tweaking the bios a little I got the ram to run at the proper speed, but my resource monitor is showing that only 8gb is available, and the rest is hardware reserved. When I look at speccy it shows that the RAM is unknown, but in the bios it clearly recognizes the RAM sticks.
I've tried setting the max memory in msconfig, but to no avail, as soon as I close the window it seems to set it back to zero. What else could be causing this?
