Storing large files while AFK keeps bring an error to try again

So I am trying to store my steam apps file which is over 400 gb big. This is obviously going to take a while so I tried to do it over night.

The problems comes in when one file gives an error and I'm given the option to try again or skip (this pauses the process), I click the try again option and it continues with no problem, but I can't sit here for 7 hours watching and waiting for another error to come up (to which multiple times this error has come up). Is there any way to make it automatically try again so that I don't have to constantly find the transfer paused?

Hey there, Jiggsss.

Those errors might be an indication of a possible issue with one of the drives and/or corrupted data. I'd strongly suggest that you backup any other important data which you might have (such as photos, videos, documents, projects, etc), just to be on the safe side. And do it on small chunks, to make sure that you've transferred all of the files you need, without getting errors. After that I'd suggest that you download an HDD diagnostic tool and test the drive/s to see if anything alarming pops-up.

You could also try the drive/s with different ports and cables, to see if the issue still persists.

Hope that helps.

Solution
as said might be an issue with your drive

but to answer your question yes you could use a if ,and ,then macro to click it for you

ie if this box appears (the try again one) then click here (try again) and if it happens again repeat from step one

there are free macro programs that should support if,and, when including the if a box/image appears

you just need to find one

or you could just use a "dumb" macro which would be easier than learning how to do a "smart one"

you just tell it to click in the needed places regardless of whether it needs to--as long as those clicks arent going to open/run or alter anything

tell it to repeat that every 5 minutes for say 150 loops that should be good for around 12 hours

even if 99% of the clicks do nothing once the box is there they will click it for you
