I want to add another RAM stick to my pc, i just want to know if the one im planning to buy is gonna work with my motherboard

Motherboard: asrock h81m-dgs

RAM stick :CRUCIAL Crucial Ballistix Sport DDR3 Unbuffered 8 GB DDR3

update:
Would it be better if i got the 8GB stick and added it to my 4GB stick or, just get two matching 4GB sticks (example Kingston ValueRAM 8GB Kit (2x4GB) 1333MHz DDR3 Non - ECC CL9 DIMM SR x8 STD Height 30mm Desktop Memory KVR13N9S8HK2/8)

Solution
Something like this might do.

https://www.amazon.co.uk/Kingston-KCP3L16ND8-240-Pin-Desktop-Internal/dp/B01B5SKJ6U/ref=sr_1_10?s=computers&ie=UTF8&qid=1477567710&sr=1-10&keywords=8gb+ddr3+1600

However, it it were me then I would more likely get something like this and use just the new 8gb stick and then get a 2nd matching stick in the future if I wanted to upgrade further.

https://www.amazon.co.uk/HyperX-FURY-DDR3-Memory-Module/dp/B00J8E90NW/ref=sr_1_25?s=computers&ie=UTF8&qid=1477567932&sr=1-25&keywords=8gb+ddr3+1600

This has a CL10 rather than CL11 (not much admittedly but slightly better) and also has a heat sink for only £2 more (cooler ram performs better)

You could go with the 1st one, it should work with your existing stick...

What is your existing stick and how much do you want to spend?

You mentioned getting this Kingston ValueRAM 8GB Kit (2x4GB) 1333MHz DDR3 Non - ECC

If that's the case though you could get 1600 for a similar price

https://www.amazon.co.uk/Corsair-CMZ8GX3M2A1600C9-Vengeance-Performance-Desktop/dp/B004CRSM4I/ref=sr_1_10?ie=UTF8&qid=1477499261&sr=8-10&keywords=8gb+ddr3+1600

Or if you have 4gb already, you could get a matching 4gb stick or 8gb stick.

What do you want the extra memory for and what do you currently have?

I currently have the 4GB elixir M2F4G64CB88C7N-DI (at least thats what i read from it when opening the pc)

I'd like to use the extra memory to run games smoother, since 4GB is obviously not enough for gaming anymore.

Looking to spend 40€ or lower

Out of interest, what CPU do you have?

Your current memory looks like it is ddr3 1600mhz 11 11 11 if the data sheet I found was correct and up to date.

With regard to buying more memory, you can mix brands but it is not advised as issues can arise, this doesn't mean that there would be any issues though.

If you are going to mix then make sure you get more at 1600 as mixing frequencies is more likely to cause issues, also check the timings and voltage are the same having said this, I would always rather have matching ram rather than mixed, this way you know timings, voltage and so on are the same.

This may be worth looking at https://www.amazon.co.uk/Ballistix-BLS8G3D1609ES2LX0CEU-PC3-12800-Unbuffered-NON-ECC/dp/B00A14ZTWE/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1477517896&sr=8-1&keywords=Crucial+Ballistix+Sport+DDR3+Unbuffered+8+GB+DDR3

You could get 1 x 8gb and then get another in the future if you need it.

CPU: Intel Core i5-4440 3.10 GHz

So i should rather get the 2x4GB to avoid issues? Is there any way i can check if the two different RAM sticks are gonna be compatible?

Edit: sooo i found out that i would need to find one with a voltage of 1.35V and something that has to do with CL11 is this correct? And any recommendations if so

You could go with the 1st one, it should work with your existing stick but as with anything it may not want to.

My preference would be the HyperX though, you would still be doubling your current system memory with a superior product.

Or, if you could push your budget higher, you could get this 16gb and then not have to think about your Ram again until you upgrade your Mobo in the future.

https://www.amazon.co.uk/HyperX-Beast-DDR3-Desktop-Memory/dp/B00A771ZLO/ref=sr_1_24?s=computers&ie=UTF8&qid=1477568425&sr=1-24&keywords=16gb+ddr3+1600

According to the Kingston website, both these memory sets are compatible with your mobo.

I hope you get sorted.

Good luck.

Then i shall take the first hyper x you mentioned and maybe upgrade again with the same one later if needed. Thank you for the continued support and have a great day :)
