Hey peeps ,
My motherboard had 4 gb ram for some time now so I purchased another ddr2 2gb ram to upgrade my system so I added it and wanted to install windows 10 on my PC. I saw the BIOS and it recognised 6gb ram.
So whenever I try to enter the windows 10 setup it says bad pool error and restarts my PC. So my motherboard's model no is (DG35EC Intel board )
So now setup is 2xtranscend 2gb ram 800 MHz
And 1 x hynix 2gb ram 800mhz
Graphic card - amd radeon 6670
Processor - Intel core 2 quad
So is the problem the uneven addition of ram or is it a windows error?

No you do not need to fill all the slots.
The issue is the two completely different RAM sticks. Transcend and Hynix.

The issue is you are trying to change 2 things at once, and not knowing which is the problem.Win 10 or the mixed RAM.
Take the system back to a working state with the 2 original RAM sticks.

Does it boot?
Yes.
Then, install Win 10
Does it install?
Yes.

Later, you can play around with trying to add that other 2GB Hynix. But I wouldn't hold out much hope.
