USB over 5m (over cat5 maybe)

Hi. not sure which forum to put this in but this seems the most appropriate.

wondered what was a good way to send USB data over more then 5 meters (8m actually). Seen a mixture of very cheap (5 pounds) and very expensive (over 100 pounds) options and hoping there was something that could send a lot of USB2 data reliably and cot cost too much (hopefully under 30 pounds).

Its for sending 32 channels of audio data.

You can try using cat5 wired between the two (using 1 pair of cat per USB wire) but I would not get too much hopes.

USBs spec does not allow for it to cover very large distances, you will likely need to get an active USB cable like this :https://www.amazon.com/Tripp-Lite-Hi-Speed-Extension-U026-016/dp/B0002D6QJO
